Another Acer Aspire One
Is Acer going the way of ASUS by releasing countless iterations of their netbook? Probably not, but there will be at least one additional model as shown in the pictures below.

You'll notice it is thinner than current models, which indicates a SSD only model. Another clue is the return of the SD Expansion slot. The software based funtionality of it was only used in Linux, so unlike with the just released 10.1" AA1 a Linux configuration might be available again. The only thing that indicates otherwise is the Windows key. Linux models have a home key with a little house icon instead. It'll likely be available in both configurations just like the first generation AA1.

The awkward position of the VGA and the RJ45 port shows that Acer specifically designed the motherboard towards a slim design. Overall it has a more barebones and lightweight look to it, compared to previous models, which will hopefully be accompanied by a low price.

It is gorgeous and apparently the trackpad is of higher quality. Acer please don't ruin it with a 3-cell battery!

This looks very very nice. Could be my next Netbook.
Any idea about possible specs ?

Here comes ... another One! Not quite as elegant a design as the first, but good in an utilitarian kinda way...

Looks nice, Good to see that they are still making Linux versions of their Netbooks.

I just hope they don't dilute their own market.

"Acer please don't ruin it with a 3-cell battery!"

At that thickness, there's no way it has more than a 3-cell.

While having a better physical design, it's operation will feel the same as my current Aspire One. I'll wait for the Intel Atom 2/competitor and a higher resolution screen as I'll be urged to buy a 'next-gen' netbook even if I have the best of the previous generation.

Maybe it will have the Dual Core Atom 330 in it?
To wait, or not to wait, that is the question!

Looks really cool. Yes hopefully no 3-cell battery!

The 330 will probably never make its way into netbooks simply because its TDP of 8W is about twice the TDP of the N270 currently used in netbooks.

This is far more attractive than the March "mystery" model. But now I'm confused. How many mystery models are there?

Any suggestions on surge control for international travel with Acer Aspire One(D150). Difficult to find single jack power adaptors. Maybe with the built-in fuse on the cord I don't need to worry. Acer User Guide doesn't mention any concern with surge under their International Travel section.
